In addition, Movmenta’s sensors allow customers and brands to track the footwear in the recycling process, which is a strategic concern for the industry (The global production of footwear is c.22 billion pairs of shoes, while more than 95% of them are dumped in the fields).
Movmenta intends to change that figure by aiming to achieve 100% of the footwear with its technology to be recycled.
